The Fee Calculator by Sale Samurai allows you to look at 2 different views: profit, and ROI (return on investment).

This tool will allow you to figure out if you are profitable, what to set your prices and shipping at, and how heavy a discount you can run while still earning profit in your Etsy business.

Use this feature from Sale Samurai to determine what you should price your products at that will actually be profitable for your business, but also a good deal for your Etsy shoppers/customers. It will also take into account offsite ad fees depending on the success of your shop.

How To Use

In the left hand menu, select calculators. This will bring you over to the 2 calculators that Sale Samurai offers (Profit and ROI).

Start by entering in the price your customer on Etsy will pay. This section has 3 items to fill out: the price, the shipping price that you will collect, and the coupon/discount. 

If you are adding the shipping cost to your Etsy product and not collecting shipping, you can leave this at zero, and add the coupon/discount that you may or may not be providing.

Next, add in your costs. This section is for what it costs you to create and offer the product for sale to Etsy customers. Labor costs, material costs, shipping costs, renewal costs and Etsy ads are all relevant here. Make sure you are honest with what it costs you to offer your product for sale so you can get a real profit number. 

Finally, select your offsite ad fees. This will be 0, 12 or 15 percent depending on how successful your shop is!

Once you are done, click on calculate and this will show you your estimated profit, total fees and costs, and your margin!
